Indonesian Pre-Service EFL Teachers’ Attitudes and Motivation Toward English Language Learning

Students' attitude towards language has an impact on their learning of English as a foreigner (EFL). The significance this cannot be overstated and may serve decisive factor in achieving success, alongside the motivation. One's is influenced by range factors, such educational social learner personality characteristics, among others. objective investigation to examine perspectives EFL pre-service teachers regarding impetus for acquiring proficiency English. An online survey was conducted using Likert scale questionnaire gather data from 80 Indonesian university students (18 males 62 females) majoring education. collected subsequently subjected both qualitative quantitative descriptive analysis. study's findings indicate that non-native exhibit favorable its learning. This research revealed strong inclination instrumental motivation, indicating positive level study anticipates forthcoming advancements can enhance process aligning it with pertinent methodology.
